Team+Impact

Here at T+I we have been working behind the scenes for the last several months to mobilize the strategy, structure and people to take the organization into its next phase of growth.

…and what a team has been created! Over 50 amazing individuals representing over 20 countries from across the globe making up our Board of Directors, Board Advisors and volunteers.  As an exciting aside we even have two fabulous men as Board Advisors both with incredible experience and passion for our mission!

I have a deep belief in this multi-disciplinary, global and influential group to effectively deliver our mission to:

Provide women-led social enterprises in the craft and natural cosmetic sectors increased ACCESS to learning, linkages and networks through a collaborative global community that is challenging outdated perspectives and strategies systemic to the sectors. 

This robust team will be focused on developing valuable member services and content, assessing the next Summit and Trade Expo opportunity, building our database of social impact investors and creating a membership strategy which will be compelling to a broad range of stakeholders in the sector.  

I am a true believer in the “team”. I believe when one succeeds, we all succeed; and I firmly believe in the African proverb “UBUNTU: I am because we are”.  So, I was excited to discover this new framework which I believe reflects Trade+Impact’s model through a “team / network” approach.  This model beautifully reflects a new way of doing business in the world, it is a paradigm shift from the industrial era approach.  Just look at how hierarchies and control are moving to a network of empowered people, we love it!

We are clearly experimenting here, and we know we will have successes and challenges with this model but it feels right and we’re excited to see where it will take us.  (Heaven knows as a strategic planning expert it’s a little out of my comfort zone )
